job dates
Hi there,
I sent a bug report via the app, but didn't receive a reply - so thought i'd try here :-)
The start date and end date of jobs seems to be 'stuck' on 08/August/2010. If i manually click on start and end i can change the dates, but when i close the calendar the date isn't updated and remains at 08/August.
If you could fix this it would be a great help - as i often (try) to refer to these date when clients ask how long 'x' took etc… i'm also trying to integrate the app into my invoicing and need to avoid any confusion later on.

Is that the bug report you would have sent on July 6th? I do have a record of a reply to you, perhaps it got marked as spam?
It sounds like the problem might be with the way the date formatting is set. To modify that open up the Preferences window (under the On The Job menu) and click the Change button by the Date Format: label. What I suspect is that August 8th has been hard-coded into the date field. Instead, what you want is for the blue "pill" date objects to be in the text field. You can drag them from below and optionally use the little white disclosure triangles to change the format that the element appears in.
A bug that we've recently discovered is that if you double-click one of the "pill" objects, it will be replaced with plain text, which is not desirable and may be what caused the problem you're seeing in the first place.

Re-set the date preference and that has fixed the issue - don't know why i didn't think to try that. :-)
