Feature Request: Start-, End Date and "value added tax" as an item in invoice

Hello,

it would be great if you can add the invoice Start- and End Date as an Item in the invoice-Template. Also it would be nice to have and "value added tax" item where you can enter a procent value for the invoice-Total Cost.

And the last one:
Is it possible to split client name to: client firstname, client surname?

Best regards and thanks for this great software,
Sebastian

    HI Sebastian,

    Thanks for the suggestions!

It is not possible to split out the firstname and surname.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly about the value added tax item - do you just want to show the tax percentage on the invoice? If so, a workaround might be just using a text field?

    Hi Dan,

    thanks for your reply.

do you just want to show the tax percentage on the invoice No. Only the tax as a Number. In Germany is 19% tax. Example:

    TotalCost: 1900,-
    Tax: 19%

So i will have follow items:
    Cost without tax: 1900,-
    Tax: 361,-
    Total Cost to pay: 2261,-

Sorry for this discrepance. My english is bad :(

Is it possible "add the invoice Start- and End Date as an Item in the invoice-Template"?

    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

It would only be possible to add the invoice start and end date manually using a text field, although you can add a field for the "invoice date" which could be either of those.

To get the tax automatically calculated, you will need to select the client and add the tax information in at the bottom of the settings area for the client. You can adjust the tax name to include the tax percentage as well, if you want that to show up on the invoice.

Ok. But I want to have one Template for all my invoices so I cant change this by a manually textfield because than, it change all my Bills.

My invoice is split to: Bill with Text like:

Hello Mr. xxx, I have work for you from xx to xx .......

    Total Hours; xxx
    Cost per Hours: xxx

    Total Cost wihout tax: xxx
    19% Tax = xxx
    Total Cost to pay: xxx

You have to pay this until: xxx (Date)

And than I have pages where he can see the timesheet for this period.

So for the first page I need dragable Items like: "Tax (tax from the cost value example: 361,-)", "TotalCostWithoutTax (example: 1900,-)" and "TotalCostIncludeTax (example: 2261,-)".

In the moment I generate my timesheet with on the job, and the first page I create manually with Adobe InDesign. Its ok and not much work, but it will be greate I´ve I can do this automatically with your software.

Or is it possible to add manually Textfield per Invoice (not in Template)?

Thanks again for your quick reply and best regards,
    Sebastian

... I love on the job!

Okay, I think you do almost all of that. I think what is missing for you would be "Total Before Tax" and "Total Tax" elements. I can see a lot of people using those, so I will add a feature request to our system.

You should be able to use the due date of the invoice for the last date item.

Oh, and it's not presently possible to have custom text fields that show up in the invoice, although this is also something we are considering for a future version.

    Thanks for the feedback!
