I second that.
I would love a iPhone app to complement On The Job! It would be great!

Thanks for letting us know - it definitely increases the odds knowing that people are looking for it!

Me too. I'd love an iPhone version.
Be great if it could take advantage of the in-built camera in the iPhone for attaching copies of receipts to jobs too!

It would be great to create and time jobs on my iPhone and then add them into On The Job when I get back in front of my computer.

Would use it in a heartbeat!

When I'm out in the field photographing or interviewing for a book, an iPhone/iTouch app would be efficient to track my time within In the Job. Very good interview, by the way.

I am an attorney practicing in a rural Pennsylvania county where I serve as president of the local bar association. Most of our county's attorneys run their own offices, and a number are migrating to Apple computer products as a result of favorable experiences with their iPhones. I have recommended On The Job as my preferred time billing software on the desktop, but I have found no satisfying iPhone app for tracking my time out of the office at depositions, conferences, and in court. You have a ready market for an iPhone app with attorneys, and if the quality of your app was on a par with the desktop version, I would be pleased to recommend the app to both our county bar association and the online Macattorney user group.

Thanks for the encouragement and support everyone! For a shop as small as ours we have to be careful about what we spend our time and resources on, but it's great to know that so many people are interested in seeing an iPhone version.

Dear Dan,
You're in a position of adding an iPhone/iTouch app to your In the Job
application. Your current users, I'm one, could easily see an app as an
enhancement to your program.
That's opposite to the business plan of many companies who use an app as an
introduction and enticement to a more robust program designed for a desktop
computer.
You have an existing and supportive base of clients who will likely become
customers for an app. So, what about cost? I would support what keeps you
viable as a business and makes a robust app possible. You'll figure out that
price. Bet it's more than .99 cents (US).
Put us on the spot. What do we need to time when out in the world. I'd start
with being able to time a couple of activities at once. How long was my
workday? How long was the photo shoot that was part of the day? Multitasks
for us "on the road", so to speak.
Some ideas for you...
Kevin Shea

Looks like we can add iPad app to the wishlist now as well!

I've been using On The Job for a while now and i'd love to have an iPhone app that syncs with the desktop app. I agree with njeanneret about being able to take pictures of receipts to attach to jobs.

Please do and hurry... In fact, I was shocked there wasn't one already!

+1 for the iPhone version :)

I need an On The Job app asap! I rely heavily on this program and I got an iPhone yesterday. The first thing I looked for was your app but it wasn't there. So disappointed... please hurry!!!

I second the iPad idea. Use it for business and it would be great to great paperless invoices on the fly.

See? You better work fast or Apple will make even more products! :) Kev

Used OtJ for a long while and love it, but about to have to move on - without a synching iPhone/iPad app it's getting more and more difficult to use practically...
21 Posted by Xander on 29 Apr, 2010 03:38 PM
Would definitely appreciate an iPhone app. It would add a great deal of value to your program, even if you just allowed an existing third party app to sync with OTJ.
A native version would be preferable though.

I've moved on. Good luck with everything

Hey Dan!
The company I work for can definitely help you out on an iPad/iPhone app !
We are happy customers of your On the Job application! :)

Hey guys, I want to use OTJ, it seems much easier than Billings (what I'm stuck with now- those guys won't even let you stick a "paid" image on your invoice for example) but without an iPhone app there's no point.
I will buy this as soon as you offer any compatibility with an iPhone- I don't care if it's 3rd party integration, but a native app would be the best.

an iPhone app would be awesome.
it doesn´t need many features. simple time tracking and sync would be perfect!

Oh I would love to try your app... but no iphone app to partner with the desktop is a killer... sorry

Put me down for the iPhone/iPad app Wish List! I could use it right now!! :)

I'be been using On The Job for over a year including the Invoicing and am completely satisfied. I've put off buying a MacBookPro just long enough that last week I bought an iPad. I would love to put an On The Job iPad app on it for when I'm on the road. Thanks for a great program that just works.

I would like to see an iPod/iPad app as well. Thanks!

Today I searched for descent time tracking/billing software. Beside On The Job I tested Billings.
Both do have a very fancy UI, but the variations per client is better organized in On The Job. On the other hand, Billings comes with a iPhone App which can sync with the desktop version.
I'm in my trail period, but would really choose for On The Job if I only knew that there is a App version coming...
I guess a lot more people would choose this software if it is available on the iPhone.
Time for a Poll? ;)
