I seem to be having a problem with On The Job 3 and Apple Spaces. On The Job doesn't seem to remember what space I've assigned to it, and the main window will open up on whatever space is frontmost. Even though I have it assigned directly to Space 4 in my preferences, it will appear on ANY space that is the current view. Anyone else have this problem?

It's not a problem I have heard of before. On The Job does not do anything special regarding spaces, and should behave as any other application would. Another of our products, Overflow, has to deal with spaces a lot and work around a lot of problems, which makes me think this might be some kind of Apple bug, but if you're seeing the problem only with On The Job perhaps not.

Thank you for bringing the issue to my attention, I will spend some time seeing if I can reproduce what you're seeing.

    Yep.

I just bought On the Job, and the reason I almost didn't was that it certainly acts strangely with Spaces. It always seems to launch in the space that I am currently in, rather than the space assigned to it in the Exposé / Spaces preference pane. Also, if dialog boxes are triggered in On the Job while I'm in a different space, it's hell to be able to find them and OK.

    Dan, thanks for addressing it!

This problem has been plaguing me for quite some time. Yes, the MENUS themselves will show up and stay on the assigned space, but the application window will always show up on whatever space is frontmost. I then have to manually drag the window to the space with the menus in order to use On The Job. This is the only app I use that has this problem, and it's extremely frustrating.

That is very strange - thanks for the additional info.
