Spell Check, Enlarge Text, Copying Text from Invoice Pre-PDF
I have been using On The Job for about 2 years and really like
it. There are 3 features that are either not there or I can't find
them:
1. The text size in the fields are too small to read well enough
with my resolution native to my monitor (1680X1050). I have tried
Window>Zoom but that does not increase the text size (or if it
does it is imperceptible). Does this exist or is there a way to set
it up to display larger? I now have to copy and paste from OTJ to
TextEdit if I start to type up my notes and then realize I need to
describe what I did in more detail. then when finished, copy and
paste back to OTJ.

Spell Check
I am not the best typist or speller and it does not look likely this will improve any time soon. I use spell check a lot in other programs to make me look at least half way educated. There is no signs that there is a spell checker in OTJ. Is it there or do you have plans to include it? I use a lot of the OTJ notes for billing. -
I don't use the OTJ for invoicing because I want to write more in OTJ than I would on the invoice. But, it is helpful to be able to produce an invoice in OTJ to get totals and i do use a lot of the text. However, I cannot cop[y the text from the invoice created by OTJ until I Save as PDF. It would be nice to be able to copy the text from the OTJ invoice one sees inside the program without that extra step. Is this a feature you plan to add?

Hi Janet,
There is no way to enlarge the text size, although I agree this would be a useful feature. Thanks for the recommendation.
Spell checking support - you make a good point. Although spell checking is already mostly in place (try right-clicking on a misspelt word in the Description or Notes fields), incorrectly spelt words are not underlined in red as they should be. Definitely something for us to look at going forward.
Simply due to the way that invoices are implemented i can't see this feature being added in the near future. It would require more work than it may appear on our end. However, because of some changes we have planned in the way that invoices are handled in the application, it should become more possible in the future, and we will keep this issue in mind.
Thanks for your feedback!

Oh, didn't know that trick. Well, that does help when I can see the word is
wrong.
But, an enlarging text feature (responding to the OS such as: Command +
[plus sign] like many other software programs do) would be a great help.

Hey, I just tried the Control-Click (or right click) on a line of text that
I know has misspellings. I got a pop up with various choices. I picked
Spelling and Grammar and them selected on the fly out window "Check spelling
While Typing."
Now my misspelled words are all underlined in red when on that field of
words. Maybe you didn't you know/remember that was there.

That is interesting, I didn't realize that would cause the underlining to happen. Thanks for letting me know!
