Suggestion: Layout options such as colour-by-row and spacers
Not sure if anyone else uses overflow like I do, but I have one massive palette with "groups" separated by blank spots.
Horizontal and Vertical spacers would be nice, just to cut down on all that wasted space between my "groups", and to help orginise the palette in a way that makes sense to me. Being able to color rows and columns differently would be fantastic, too, as well as being able to hide the sidebar with groups if you don't use it.

Hi David,
We have gotten suggestions for dividers and things like that from time to time. I don't think it's a bad idea, and it's something we're considering for the next version of Overflow. Thanks for the idea!
You actually can currently hide the sidebar if you're not using it - just drag the little handle area on the far left side of the window over to the right until the sidebar collapses. Hopefully that will help save a little space.

I really hope you put in groups - or more appropriately, 'subgroups' for each category!
For the way I work; I would love each (sub)group to have its own shaded/colored boundary & hover-over label- e.g. for my apps which are 'editors' I work with (sub)groups for text editors, pdf editors, ebook editors, preference editors, office editors, etc. Currently there is just an empty space between them - but a label and or color for each row (or even for just a single app that happens to belong to a different subgroup...) would make overflow much more easy to use!

Interesting idea - thanks!
