Request: Simpified Menubar Item

I like to keep "utility" programs out of my dock as much as I can, so I love that Overflow can be made into a menubar item instead of sitting in my dock. Since I keep my dock hidden, it's more accessible at the top of the screen anyway.

However, I wish that when it's in menubar "mode", it would behave more like it does in the dock. That is, click and the beautiful Overflow window appears. Instead, after clicking I'm presented with a menu that is totally functional, but less attractive. (Yes, I'm an interface snob. It's half the reason I bought Overflow.) I have the hotkey set up, but I generally use Overflow when my hand is already on my mouse, deferring to Launchbar for keyboard functionality.

Would it be possible to let the regular window appear on left click, while making the menu available via right click? No functionality would be lost, and it would lend itself to a more intuitive and consistent user experience, at least in my opinion.

Yes, this is a very minor thing, but something that I think about often enough that I thought I'd pass it along. :-)

    Hi Jen,

Hey, we're interface snobs too, so I completely understand. I think what you're suggesting absolutely makes sense. Thank you very much for the feedback!

I would like to second Jen's request. Love the app. Great job. Is this idea being worked on?

    Andrew,

It's not actively being worked on just at the moment, but it's something we're definitely still interested for the future.
