How dio I do this?
I have always run Overflow with a menu icon. When I installed the latest update and launched it, it had a Dock icon instead, and I can't figure out how the heck to access the Preferences to get it back to where I want it. Can somebody tell me how to do this? Developer, if you read, this, I really love Overflow but I HATE the fact that it doesn't come with any documentation, I shouldn't have to be wasting my time and yours by asking basic questions like this. Would it kill you to take half an hour to write up a set of basic operating instructions?

For me it worked just to move Overflow App to Trash and Reinstall it. Afterwards the "Show Overflow Icon in Dock" Checkbox in the Overflow Preferences was enabled, so I could deactivate this option.
Since I only moved it to Trash and didn't use any Uninstall-Apps, all Applications and Categories remained.

Hello,
CM's solution sounds like a good one if that preference is disabled. Are you having trouble even opening the preferences window? If so - when the Overflow window is open, there should be an Overflow menu at the top of the screen with a "Preferences..." option.
I also wanted to mention that Overflow does come with some basic documentation. This can be found under the Help menu - select "Overflow Help".

CM's solution worked for me. Thankx.
I'm not sure that Help files are a good substitute for documentation, especially for newbies and for idiots like me who don't think to look for them. Thanks, guys
