I've been using Overflow for years, and have had this problem years also, though it didn't exist in the beginning : option + click doesn't work. It works like a simple click. Overflow isn't kept visible, and I cannot open more than one document at a time. A bit annoying, though I don't have to use that feature very often.

    Hi Georges,

I just did a quick test on my machine and it seems that option-clicking is still working for me. What version of OS X are you running?

Snow Leopard 10.6.2. But I've had that with previous versions (it stopped working with some version of Tiger, I think).

Good to know that it is a problem on 10.6.2 as well though, that might make it easier to track down. What kind of computer are you on (ppc or intel)?

I'm not sure that there will be any extra info here, but could you check the Console application (which is located in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder) and see if there is anything pertaining to Overflow printed out there when you try to option-click an item in Overflow?

Nothing happens in the console when I option+click in Overflow. Here is the only message I have about Overflow in Console when I launch it :
21/01/10 09:14:45 Overflow[138] *** WARNING: Method selectRow:byExtendingSelection: in class SSCategoriesTableView is deprecated. It will be removed in a future release and should no longer be used.

I have marked this as a bug in our bug tracker and will let you know when we have a beta version available for you to test out. Thanks for reporting this problem!

Same here as Georges, though I am a new user. I can not speak to anything but the present machine/setup.

I have tried on a test category with nothing but documents and on a folder (as an item) and docs within.

MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz 4 GB RAM
    OS X 10.6.2
    Overflow v2.5.7
