    2 x 2.66GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    4GB 667MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
    Downgrading now to fix.

Thanks for letting us know (too bad though - I thought we had finally solved this problem for everyone!)

After the first click, did you notice if the menu at the top of the screen had switched to Overflow - but without the window becoming active?

Also, are you using Spaces at all?

I am seeing it cycle very rapidly from Finder...Overflow...Finder. This happens mostly. Occasionally, Overflow will stay in the top menu without a window appearing. I do use a Wacom tablet with one of the stylus buttons set to double click. If I use the pens double click Overflow seems to function properly every time. I hope this helps.

It appears to have settled down now, i tends to happen when opening for the first time when the machine is reloaded.

I can see it pop up on occassions but very feint but once loaded appears to be okay.

I have tried to recreate it exactly but not able to currently.

Well managed to re-create this , and tool a screen cast of it at the same time.

It appears if you click it too fast when other apps are loading or doing anything it tends to play up.

Just let me know if you want a link to the video I will upload it to see if it helps as it shows the clicks.

I'm sure it would be helpful to take a look at that video if you don't mind.

    Hi,

I've got the same problem, introduced with 2.7. It affects users on 10.5.8 using spaces and users on 10.6.2 not using spaces.

I can't reproduce it on my Mac though.

Older versions can be downloaded here:

    http://stuntsoftware.com/downloads/Overflow_2.5.5.zip
    http://stuntsoftware.com/downloads/Overflow_2.5.6.zip

If you could let us know the most recent version that works correctly for you that would be very helpful.

    Thanks,

I've just started to have the same issue although mine seems to be at any time there is another window open but not exclusively and not just on the first attempt. I am now using 2.5.6 so hopefully this will sort it out but time will tell. it's a shame to have to go backwards version wise on such a small issue for such an indispensable app.

I seems so strange to me that in trying to remove a glitch for one os you have created the same glitch for previous os as I would have expected you to have ensured the happiness and satisfaction of existing and loyal customers to be just as important as any new ones.

Was using 2.5.7 on os 10.5.8 no spaces active

    Chris,

We definitely do want Overflow to be compatible and work as advertised for all current customers - this particular issue seems to be a bit like a whack-a-mole game, every time we think we've fixed it for everybody it pops up for a handful of users who were previously not experiencing the problem. I realize that's not much comfort for those affected, and it's something we plan to fix in a future release.

Hi Dan I've just had to down grade even further to 2.5.4 in search of a stable edition as the last one was even more unstable than the one before.

I was having to click on it several time and various occasions even click and hold then search through the list that pops up. Which frankly is not much better than using a stack. which at least is more reliable.

As to my future usage time and future stability will tell
